Ruth & Peco, Well, what can I say. What you have created here extraordinary! The time invested in putting this together must have been a huge commitment - you have done us AI-mish writers a huge service. Thank you.

It seems crazy that it is almost three years since I wrote my anti-AI manifest, 'A Refuge of Authenticity', but in this intervening years, things have only become worse as AI has increasingly colonised the creative space and outcompeted real human creativity (like an invasive species does in nature). What you have done here is, in effect, to create a Refuge of Authenticity in forming this directory established upon trust and reputation. Let us hope the writers on this list (myself included) can maintain this reputation in the face of extreme pressures to compromise.

Here is my piece for those interested https://overthefield.substack.com/p/a-refuge-of-authenticity

One thing I didn't quite anticipate when writing A Refuge... back then, was just how standardising AI would make the creative scene; so much "content" now follows that same bland, and predictable AI style. It is nauseating. It is going to get worse. As more and more embrace AI "writing" and thus squander and sacrifice their own unique style, this AI-Monosytle is going to become ever more prevalent. Such a future is depressing, which is why we need more writers to refuse to use AI and instead embrace their own unique idiosyncratic style along with all its natural imperfections.

Keep up the excellent work

My Mom and I write about reconnection to nature and preserving wildness from our two-room wooden home (built in 1938) in northern Romania https://dailydoseofnature.substack.com/ We'd be grateful for more human readers!
