Ah man, I so wish I was leading a trip that would intersect with you guys at some point. I'll be heading back to the States the day before you all start.
The Camino truly is a spiritual, physical, full-person experience of a lifetime. I'm blessed to have done it twice now leading two different groups; the first time was everything I'd always wanted it to be, the second was everything I needed it to be, and the community on both was incredible. I think its going to be a great experience for this whole community. I'll be praying for you guys while just a few days ahead on the route.
Too bad we'll miss you! It would have been great to intersect. I have a sense this will not be our last time on the Camino :) Thanks for sharing your reflection and keeping us in your prayers. We'll stay in touch!
Many years ago, my wife and I did a week long inn-to-inn walking tour in Vermont for our anniversary. Mostly on quiet country dirt roads. The meandering pace helped us slow down and really connect.
I had for years lived by the creed of speed. Meditation, art and poetry have given me the slow down my spirit needs. I imagine walking the Camino, as slow as my mind and body needs. Cancer has depleted some of my energy, I am still drawn. I would do it not for God or myself, but something in between.
We’re signed up for the pilgrimage and looking forward to it. We would like to join the zoom, but it may not work with our church schedule (we’re in California). We will try.😊
Yes, so wonderful to have you along! We will host additional zoom meetings before we embark on the pilgrimage, some of them specifically for pilgrims who have already signed up. We'll plan the next one later in the day. Also, if you have specific questions you'd like to chat about, we'd be happy to arrange a one-on-one meeting as well :)

My reflection on my first Camino is here: https://open.substack.com/pub/ryanpbrady/p/buen-camino?r=22x7bz&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
It may be edifying to people so set on engagement with the Real as you all are.

We're looking forward to the Camino with you!
That sounds like a most lovely walking tour! I have never been to Vermont, but this must be one of the best ways to get close to the landscape.
We are very much looking forward to walking the Camino with you as well!
I will be there for the zoom. Still trying to figure out if I can make it work or not. Fingers crossed.
Excellent! Very much hope you can join us :)

"A Plain Life: Walking My Belief" by Scott Savage is a great book that would fit well into this conversation.
Thanks for the recommendation!
